Duty Straight

My hubby graduates AIT April 11th, He is going straight to his duty station at Fort Hood, Tx? My question is after he In-Processes will he be allowed to come back to Kansas ( where I am ) to move all of our stuff and me down to Texas? He is not due to report to Fort Hood until May 5th but he is going down early. And my second question is we were married December 20th 2007 while he was on BCT Exodus, when he returned they said he had to wait until AIT to change everything. So he waited and nothing was changed when he got to AIT. I still haven't recieved my BAH and according to some things i found online they are supposed to back date it to the date of the marriage. If thats true they are going to owe us alot of money. Any advice anyone would have on these two questions...Thanks He will be entitled to transport, at Military expense, from his AIT to his home of record, and from his home of record to Ft Hood. As a new recruit, he'll not be entitled to married status transport, so your transport costs will be at your own expense. Did he file the change of status to married while he was at AIT? If he filed it at BCT and they told him he'd have to wait for AIT, he needed to refile it there. Richard
